The new Beretta PX4 Compact Carry

The new Beretta PX4 Compact Carry

Not to be confused with the already released PX4 Compact, this is a new model designed in large part by pistol guru (and especially Beretta double-action pistol wizard) Ernie Langdon. He’s been shooting Beretta’s for over 30 years, so he knows a thing or two about making them sing.

This one is designed for carry and sports numerous enhancements for that purpose. The grip is all new, with a more rubbery feel. It stays put in the hand but won’t tear up your love handles if you carry inside the waistband. It’s a “G” model, which means that the slide levers de-cock only. They are almost flush with the frame and don’t have any sharp edges sticking out. As de-cocking is more of an administrative function, there’s no need to have big and accessible de-cocking levers. This one also sports a tactical gray slide finish so it looks good to. It’s one of those handguns you have to pick up to appreciate.
