About My Gun Culture

If you want to know about guns, shooting, ammunition, gear, concealed carry, home defense, and what's going on in the industry, you've come to the right place.

The guy behind the curtains is me, Tom McHale. I'm the Editor of American Handgunner Magazine and the author of the Practical Guides series of how-to shooting books. I've been an avid shooter, reloading, and student of things self-defense, concealed carry, reloading, and long-range shooting for the past two decades, give or take.

Over the past 20 years or so, I've written seven books and a couple thousand articles for various shooting related magazines and websites.
