The Bullseye AmmoCam Sight-in Edition
Way back in the fall of 2013, I tested the Bullseye Camera System. It’s a neat idea that allows you to use a bit of technology to see and track impacts on various types of targets up to a mile away. The original version was well organized and packaged into a lightweight toolbox. Carry that downrange, turn it on, aim the camera at your target, and you were off and running.
Now, Bullseye has taken convenience to a whole new level. Completely contained in a standard size ammo box, the new Bullseye AmmoCam sits on the ground in front of your downrange target. The camera remains inside the box and records through a hole in the side. A wireless device inside the can transmits the images back to a computer, tablet or smartphone device back on the shooting bench.
The Bullseye AmmoCam™ Sight-In Edition is a fully self-contained unit that weighs only 5 lbs. and is the perfect solution to those shooting and sighting in at 300 yards or less. Simply set the unit down range, flip the switch on and start shooting. The system is weather resistant, has a 12+ hour battery life and supports iPhone, iPad, Android Devices and Windows-based laptops. It also allows multiple users to connect to the system to track shooting progress.
Bullseye has also launched the AmmoCam Long Range Edition. Contained in the same ammo can configuration, it adds a base station receiver to allow monitoring of targets up to one mile distant.

With my luck, an idiot in the next lane would think that the ammo-box-looking-thing was my target, and that I was missing it.

And placing anything downrange that I don’t want to catch a bullet is a bad idea, $350-650 or not. I will freely admit that not every bullet that that I send goes exactly where I want it to go.
