August 24, 2013 By Tom McHale 6 Comments

Why not hold a 3 Gun match in the middle of the night? It works for match sponsor Crimson Trace!

The Crimson Trace Midnight 3 Gun Invitational was a dual purpose event. The first two nights provided shooting industry media an opportunity to shoot the match before the pro 3 Gunners arrived for the Friday and Saturday night competition. Sponsoring vendors also set up demonstrations at the range during daylight hours to test out some […]

About My Gun Culture

Hello, my name is Tom McHale. I'm the creator and primary author of the Practical Guides series of how-to shooting books. I've been an avid shooter, reloading, and student of things self-defense, concealed carry, reloading, and long-range shooting for the past two decades, give or take.

I also write lots of articles for various shooting related magazines and websites. You'll find my work at Shooting Illustrated, Concealed Carry Magazine, Tactical Retailer Magazine, Beretta USA, Guns Magazine, the USCCA Blog, OutdoorHub, GunsAmerica, American Handgunner Magazine, AmmoLand, The National Shooting Sports Foundation, Grand View Outdoors, Range 365, The Airgun Wire, The Armory Life, and Shooting Sports Retailer Magazine.

In between articles and book projects, you'll find me working on shooting industry corporate communications and content and serving as an expert witness on topics including ballistics, concealed carry, and general gun and ammunition topics.
