Sometimes, reality reads like fiction. Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond series, has an interesting “real life” serving as a spy himself. In fact, he was involved in the incredible story of World War II’s Operation Mincemeat. You know, the one where the Brits planted a dead hobo dressed up as a staff officer carrying secret secret invasion plans for the invasion of Greece. That was all disinformation to get the Germans to shift defenses away from Sicily and Italian landing sites.
