I picked up a couple of 20 rnd boxes of these today wondering if I could count on expansion out of the short barrel of my Walther PPS. The ranges I go to won’t allow jugs and other fun stuff to shoot into.
Hi Chris – Your timing is perfect – we’re about to do a .380 ACP specific episode with (serious) barrier materials for a change. Clothing, leather, denim, wallboard, etc. We’ll be testing with two guns: a Ruger LCP which has a barrel slightly shorter than your Walther PPS and a Walther PPK with is about the same barrel length. Should be posted by Wednesday this week!
We’ve had good success with the Critical Defense .380 rounds on more fun and non traditional barriers so we expect good results with the real stuff.
Thanks for your comments!
