The annual Glock party at SHOT Show 2012 was quite the event. Interestingly it was help in the same facility as the annual American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery convention, so one could say that the place was stuffed with polymer frames.
About 1,000 customers, partners, media, and friends of Glock attended the first class event which featured fabulous food representing four major markets that Glock serves: North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Local entertainment and locale specific giveaways added the an already festive and spirit-filled atmosphere.
But the highlight of the event was the raffle of a custom Harley Davidson motorcycle. One catch – the winner needed to be physically present at the end of the party to win. Don’t tell that to Don D. whose name was drawn. He left before the big moment. After much encouragement from the crowd, the prize went to the second name drawn.
Sometimes it pays to close the party.

Tom McHale was born a helpless, shooting-deprived infant. He later discovered the joys of collecting and shooting guns, reloading ammunition and writing about his adventures with a healthy dose of fun. Tom's career has been diverse, bordering on dysfunctional, with most of it spent leading marketing teams for a variety of technology companies including Microsoft and more than a couple of high-tech startups. He's finally seen the light and given up the corporate life to pursue his passion of creating slightly crazy, but educational, content related to guns, shooting, concealed carry and self defense.
